The Hunt
"I want a word with Theo. Look into my eyes. Look me in the eyes. What do you see? Do you see anything? Nothing. There's nothing. There's nothing. You leave me alone now. You leave me alone now, Theo. Then I'll go. Thank you."This is a masterpiece of work, that church scene had me shedding tears in class like an idiot, holy hell it was so heart breaking, it really shows how much social sanctions can have a toll on someones life aside from whether they were actually guilty or not.
Even by the ending where youd think the problems are all cleared up, that its finally over, well thats the thing because social sanctions are never really over because they follow you everywhere you go like a shadow, not all people can view the story from your side so ideally some may have resentment towards yourself. Its symbolic really because youll have to live with it for the rest of your life.
Anyways, really glad they didnt go with the alternative ending even though its pretty realistic from my side of view.
