A Clockwork Orange

I really did love the wackiness of this movies colour pallet and production design, each house was a work of art the abnormal colours contrast the darkness of this movie. Each character really had a personality like no other - I also did like the dialect of this over exaggerated olden time English slang. I think Malcom McDowell played the machiavellianistic of Alex extremely well his facial expressions will have a lasting memory in my head for due time. Overall I did enjoy the movie a lot I just wish it wasn’t as long and didn’t feature as many unnecessary scenes. The pacing of this movie was pretty horrible - maybe it wasn’t the pacing maybe it was just too long. I believe the whole reforming section with the priest could’ve been taken out and the treatment section could’ve definitely been shortened. I expected this movie to be how it was at the beginning for the first half then second half him paying for his actions. I really did enjoy the first 40 mins and the last 40 mins but the middle was quite replaceable/irrelevant to me . Edit:  3 months later - I think about this movie so regularly , I wouldn’t have it any other way. It really is a masterpiece.
