Good Time
Ah shit he’s kissing the 16 yr old🥸
I think this is one of those movies where I enjoyed it more than I was supposed to. I really didn’t see any flaws in this movie I thought the pacing was gonna be really bad but I was completely wrong, constant stimulation from the first second of the movie to the last.
Something I really loved about this movie was how strong Connie’s brotherly love for Nick was. The whole film Connie’s one goal is keeping Nick in the picture if that’s including him in the heist or spending the rest of the film putting himself in many uncomfortable situations just to free his brother. The heartbreaking truth is Nick isn’t aware of all of this, at the end of the movie we see him have the belief that he was betrayed by his brother but he still loves him as he crosses the room when the helper says “cross the room if u have a friend”.
The intensity of this movie really kept me on my toes. So much much tension was created just through the use of dialect and facial expressions - displaying Robert Pattisons remarkable acting abilities, slowly putting himself in my top 3 favourite actors. Sometimes the extreme close up felt abit much but in a good way. It gave no room for breathing increasing the severity of the awkward scenarios Connie found himself in.
I think the overall the mis en scene of this movie is breathtaking I really appreciated the bleached hair with the silver bomber look. Every prop had a clear reason to be in picture and it all proved purpose. The colour grading on this movie was so good giving the movie a stuffy, distressed feel. All of these factors blended together so well creating such an amazing watch not just enjoyment wise but visually.
