A Clockwork Orange

Outstanding! But very strange… Possibly my favourite from Kubrick. Malcolm McDowell just drops quite possibly one of the best acting performances I’ve ever seen. The direction by Kubrick is unbelievable and you can clearly see why he is known as one of the greatest to ever do it. I also love how ambitious this film is, it’s like no other and the style is just so iconic. The set design is beautiful and so artistic, I love how the audience is almost guided emotionally through the colours in the set design and the shot composition allows every frame to look like a painting. The thing I loved most about this film was the narration throughout and the dialogue, it allows the film to be even more disturbing and I love how it addresses the audience as if you are part of the film. Truly incredible, nothing quite like it!
