Doubt
IT WAS PHENOMENAL!!! ACTING LIKE I'VE NEVER SEEN BEFORE
Meryl Streep, Viola Davis, Amy Adams and Philip Hoffman ??! the tensions between these characters were masterful
regarding the film/story, i have my reservations like i believe Sister Aloysius, but at the same time there's this ambiguity surrounding the priest and his homosexuality, and the same goes for the little boy and this is why i doubt what the truth is (that's probably the point of the film) BUT the famous confrontation scene still makes me think it was a confession !!!!
thinking back on it, i think the priest really did abuse young boys, but not Donald, the blond one? yes, and also the famous final scene with Sister Aloysius admitting her doubts—well, i think it's her faith she's questioning
"Let him have him then"
>
"I have such doubts"
those two lines were acting the way we don't see it anymore. Viola and Meryl, in my opinion, are undoubtedly the best actresses of their generations ♡
