Maybe this is harsher because has never really been an artist I connect with personally, but my biggest issue is this: how do you make a tour THIS boring with a discography like that? The whole thing just feels repetitive. Every five minutes it’s just lesbians in bandanas crying while Billie slowly walks around the stage 😭. And look, emotional concerts are fine, but there’s barely any variation in energy. A lot of the songs could’ve been transformed into something way more theatrical, chaotic, or visually memorable live, but instead everything blends together into the same vibe. What frustrates me the most is that Billie’s music actually has potential for a really immersive show. Her albums have such strong aesthetics and atmosphere, so I expected something way more creative visually and structurally. You can be a good singer, but also a good performer ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
