wow. physically beautiful and completely visceral. i'm so sorry to my entire art of film class who had to watch me wretch and sob through this movie, i haven't even stopped crying yet.  the performances in this movie were spectacular, all of the Chirons wowed me. the cinematography and lighting, natural and harsh at a few points felt like life.  this movie was incredibly important for me to see, i think. Chiron, especially as a teenager, really resonated with me. he was lost, so incredibly lost and unhappy at times, going through the torment he did. i felt it. i've been there - in terms of sexuality.

literally the best narrative film of the year.
