Adolescence
Jamie's father didn't want to become someone like his father was when he was a little. He was a good dad he say, in which I find somehow or just partially true. It was heartbreaking watching the last scene of him looking like he was mourning the lose innocence of his son. He didn't became like a violent person like his dad but by how he acts— so terrifying and powerful still just by his words scares me.
The female officer being later on to be mentioned by the school teacher, Jamie's mom wondering why he chose his dad when it's her who knows a lot about him, he doesn't handle needles very well, she told them about his prescriptions or whatever about the food and such when they're on the call on the last scene but he still chose his dad. It's like how the female officer mentioned how Katie will be the one who would be forgotten.
