a bit too 2020 ?? in a sense. but still really fun & entertaining plot twists

i can't lie, i thought i'd enjoy it a lot more than i really did? it didn't.. affect my brain chemistry in the ways i thought it would? don't get me wrong, it's still a truly beautiful film.it's vaguely entertaining to observe realistic teenage girl struggles. i think the way lady bird's relationship with herself, her mother, and romance changes from the beginning of the film to the end, is inspiring.

it holds a special place in my heart since it traumatised my best friend and sent him into an ocd spiral 🤍

one of my most beloved films ever, it made me cry with the ending — it was so bittersweet. i connected with the story so deeply, and i believe this movie really speaks to girlhood (especially, in the sense of feeling trapped by yourself and the loneliness of healing). genuinely amazing watch, but i can see how not everyone would enjoy it or 'get' it
