Manhunter
Such a good sound track. Better than 2002 red dragon though I haven’t seen it in awhile. Able to enjoy a Hannibal story without my obsession with Mikkelsen or Hopkins to take me out of it/ get too wrapped up in the story. Cox plays a different side of Hannibal, less suave but honestly making sense as he at the moment is trapped in an asylum. No cushy room like the series. Brian Cox doesn’t over stay his welcome and I appreciate the focus on the story as a whole unlike the series or the red dragon movie which may focus more on Hannibal bc of his reputation at that point (and the greater development of his character). Feel like my understanding of the story of the books and other media as a whole may have made this movie a bit more interesting/ entertaining than a fresh watcher may but I could be wrong. Wish I could watch it with a pair of fresh eyes. Did I mention the sound track. Made me giddy!
