it’s unimportant whether those who have ‘violent delights’ don’t act on them because they have ‘it’ in the first place – an inclination, a proclivity, the deep-seatedness that allows them to dream it up in the first place. is it that one is made less violent for choosing not to (being prevented from??????) indulging oneself? or just very fortuitously weak-willed? how sinister!!!!! where then does it come from? is it created? or is it more like energy? the first law of thermodynamics. if so, where does it go? much to chew on......... much to think about. what a tremendous feat this is of filmmaking and of storytelling!
