Considering how old this film is, the practical effects were absolutely incredible. I think I can safely say The Thing has made the scariest alien I have ever seen. It made me gutturally disgusted in the best way. The sounds it made, the way it moved and transformed was what made this movie incredible. But honourable mention to Kurt Russel and his luscious hair. My goodness.
