Leaving Neverland
Horrifying
My rating is solely based on the way that the documentary itself was made which I will get into later.
I really do love Michael Jackson's music but honestly the guy's dead why on earth would anyone defend him after watching this. I've seen some counter arguments against this documentary in which people state this was released after his death for money because he would no longer be around to defend himself. I think it's ridiculous personally. Why would these people put themselves at the risk of literal death threats for fame and money? Just how much fame and money do victims get anyway; they're mostly only met with hate. I felt so terrible for them to have to repeatedly go through something so exhausting when they're too young to even understand what's happening. I can't begin to imagine how frustrating it was to not be able to express what happened at the time since they didn't understand it fully and were afraid they would get into trouble. I can't really write more on this it's just something I think you should watch if you're interested in hearing their side of the story. I also think that for anyone who doesn't believe them, at the very least do you not think that it is incredibly suspicious for a grown adult man to repeatedly keep having sleepovers with young boys.
Now back to my rating, the director made this way too long in the sense that there was empty space that could've been cut. Also he didn't interview the full extent of people that he could.
