Lilo & Stitch

Perfect Soundtrack, Perfect Screenplay, Perfect Animation (to this day the mix of watercolor backdrops with the 2-D animation style and occasional CGI spaceships make this movie so timeless), Perfect Voice Performances, and Perfect Character Design. The aliens in this movie are so well designed. They all look like they could be real species that have evolved over time, and also look unique enough to believe that they could be aliens and aren’t just a knockoff of a species on Earth. When I watch a sci-fi alien movie this is what the aliens should look like. Not earth adjacent, not monstrous, not unbelievable, but a perfect balance of an evolved life form that couldn’t have come from Earth. On top of the aliens is Lilo and Nani’s character designs. I miss when Disney was good at giving characters personality because Lilo is probably one of the most likable characters ever created.
