Watership Down

Some existential bs in a good way. Insane world building for it to be a modern story at the time about wild rabbits. This shit is an allegory for a fight against oppression, against forces of nature, and against fascist regimes… one of the craziest stories I’ve ever seen told in such a simple plot.The backdrops in this are also a work of art. I didn’t really know what I was getting myself into but an existentialist story surrounded around freedom was not what I was expecting. An animated film as raw and political as this could literally never be made today on a large scale but regardless no one could replicate such a weighted script like this
