The Lighthouse

Wow wow wow. Robert Eggers really delivered with this one. Everything about this movie hit the spot for me. It’s cinematography, atmosphere, characters, dialogue. Everything was just on point. Robert Pattinson and Willem Dafoe delivered two of the best performances I’ve seen in a while, their chemistry is really unmatched. Also, I’m like almost certain that this movie is inspired by Ingmar Bergman’s work (specifically that of Persona and Through A Glass Darkly), and many moments in this movie felt like they were directed by Bergman himself. I also want to say that movies shot in black and white are just so beautiful man. Petition to bring back Black and White cinema 🙏🙏
