The Outsiders

I know SE Hinton only wrote the book, but her involvement in this movie is well-documented and thorough. She had an amazing grasp of social mobility, cycles of violence, and class at only 16 years old! The way the children in this movie think of themselves and their future is so realistic and heartbreaking.
