The Bear
Wonderful series. I rarely watch series, so me finishing this really attest to how much I enjoyed this.
Sure its a comedy, but also terribly sad as well. So many emotions in 10 episodes.
The acting was great in this, ESPECIALLY by Steven Yeun. I swear he has done more for the asian-american community in film/tv that anybody else is know. Anytime he's on screen, I know its gonna be a good time and i appreciate his craft greatly, love him!
The production of this was masterful, the soundtrack was so well crafted, the title cards were absolutely gorgeous (as well as the name of the episodes), and the story itself was so intricate and executed beautifully. The fire scene with "somewhere only we know" was breathtaking. I dont have enough good things to say about this series.
Edit: I forgot that I took a couple notes during the series. Here they are
-steven yeun speaking Korean in what sounds like an American accent here is impressive because in burning/minari it sounded different. (To the American ear, I hear to Koreans he sounded incredibly foriegn in burning).
-the continuity between scenes is really good
-episodes 7 ending gave me chills!!
I get the feeling the post-media depression is gonna hit hard here...listening to Mockingbirds while writing this.
