Werckmeister Harmonies

This isn't a film. It might be, but it most certainly is a rosrach test of a political allegory. Bela Tarr and Laszlo Klashnohorki are two brilliant artists are creating bleak and thought provoking atmospheres. Their understanding of the human condition wether on page or picture is unprecidented. Perhaps there is no further understanding of that than in Werckmeister Harmonies. I would like to say that I preferred Satantango definitely, and I do think both are supposed to be studied more than to be watched and enjoyed, to be discussed and to be learned from. They are didactic and everyone's opinion definitely helps for understanding and then enjoyment. Werckmeister Harmonies is a film covering near on everything, change, technological and personal, oppression, local or from government, herd mentality, to go and go away. I will say this though, for me the primary message was that no matter what is ahead of you. Focus, focus on who's at stake and focus at who's there. Try to look past the huge goddamn whale and see the prince in the van
