Lady Bird

Unbelievably special. Lady Bird goes through the good and frustrating moments that some teenage girls have. As a teenage girl I found myself relating to Christine and her life at times. I find myself having dreams and aspiring to be something more, which is an idea that most of us can relate. I am not sure who I am as a person, but figuring that out is a long journey. I relate to the teenage insecurity because I feel awkward sometimes. The imperfection of Christine's relationship with her Mum reminded me of how much I love my own. I respect Christine for her willingness to follow her dream and eventually live authentically; she is someone I look up to. By the end, we see that growing up isn't about becoming perfect or getting what you wanted, it's about realizing the value of where you came from, who you love, and who you've been all along.
