Bound

Just watched the new 4K transfer of Bound, and wow, it still hits. Directed by the Wachowskis before The Matrix, this neo-noir thriller is oozing with tension, sensuality, and style. Jennifer Tilly and Gina Gershon have electric chemistry, and the film masterfully balances suspense with raw, unapologetic sexuality. For me, Gina Gershon in Bound (and Showgirls) was a total sexual awakening especially since I’m gay but she’s confident, magnetic, and unforgettable. It’s slick, dark, and smart, with one of the best femme-led crime setups of the decade. Easily one of my favorite 90s films.
