Waves
Im just in such shock.
i cant believe this movie, it’s one of the most amazing things I’ve ever watched.
The acting was so real, like too real. It was hard believing this didn’t actually happen. Oh my god Tyler’s performance was just insane. And I had no clue this was a Taylor Russel movie, I absolutely adore her and her character. Obviously the mother and father were phenomenal as well.
I’ll start with the first half. As you begin to see what Tyler’s life looks like you see it’s sturdy and healthy and a good life, but the way the camera shoots almost circling him, dizzy like. You can just tell it’s not what it seems. I adored the way they shot this, it was so original and so unique and made it so much more artistic. After the aspect ratio shortens down that’s just marks when everything goes horrible. It was so drastic and sudden and it was horrifying. You could see the build up where he slowly just spiralled down and down.
my heart was broken for Tyler and for Alexis.
Then in the second half, I ADORED Luke and Emily’s love story, with MY WHOLE HEART. It makes me want to just go up to my crush and ask him out. Their whole story was just adorable and awkward and sweet and genuine, it made my heart smile.
Im not sure how I feel about the fathers character, I feel like he can’t be blamed completely, that might just be me.
SOUNDTRACK.. so good I could’ve cried. When I tell you pretty little birds IS MY SONG, watching Taylor Russel hold her head out the car window while this song played, AND THE EDITING chefs kiss.
This movie broke and healed me and I’ll never quite get over it.
