Parasite

I mean yea it's Parasite. Of course it's going to get five stars. Before I even talk about the movie, I think we can say now 5 years ahead of time that the 2020 Oscars is the best Oscars of all time. It is the most deep the Academy has ever been, it his iconic performances everywhere and movies that still have a large ripple effect on our society. Here's why I bring that up. Five years ago I was dying for Once Upon A time in Hollywood to win. I got to watch a QT movie in a movie theater and it rocked. So when it lost to this, I was pissed. My tiny 17 year old mind could not comprehend why this movie would win. Therefore, I held off from watching it for a long time. That is, until tonight. I can honestly say watching this movie that this was the absolute right choice, This movie is incredible (obvious statement). I love the character dynamics in this movie. A bad movie would make the Kims too soap oprea like or way too dislikable. In this movie, you can relate to every single family member where they slowly learn throughout the movie that striving to be rich and powerful will one day kill your soul and have lasting repercussions that are simply not worth it. Appreciate what you have around you. I also love how they highlighted class inequality around the world. You can really see the privilege of the Parks compared to earning every penny you get with the Kims. This movie is a 97/100 for me.
