I genuinely can’t express how much I adore this film. I love movies and food and movies about food, and I think this might be the best one there is. Jūzō Itami completely understands what makes food so uniquely fascinating as well as how naturally it complements film. Watch Tampopo, get ramen, develop a recipe, eat an oyster out of someone’s hand.
