Not as good as when I watched it as a kid I think but still charming

Wanted to like this. But it was so surface level. I think this documentary would probably be good if you had no idea what the manosphere was and didn’t know anything about these people. But unfortunately, i’m just too chronically online and I already know everything about these manosphere influencers. I recognised and had seen clips of every single one of these guys. So for me this felt way too surface level. It kinda just like gave these men a platform to just…. Be themselves? Like we literally know why these influencers exist, they are making money and preying off lonely men without any positive role models who need someone to validate how they feel. They prey on these men and take advantage of them for money. I feel like we all know this? And all this documentary did was tell us this. That’s it. I would’ve liked it if it interviewed or investigated more into the type of men who follow these influencers, what leads young boys to get to the point where they look up to these men. The psychology behind it, the negative affects it has on young men. But it didn’t do any of that. We basically just got to see how these men act on their livestreams while Louis Theroux looked shocked the whole time. It was just like watching their streams while he asked them questions and they gave the answers that you’d expect. But in all honesty, if you aren’t super chronically online and the only thing you know about the manosphere is Andrew Tate and that’s it! This documentary could be very eye opening to you. And hopefully it makes more people aware of what’s happening online and the type of influencers young men are following. So maybe my review is a little harsh, but I think I was just left feeling a bit disappointed as it only scratched the surface of this world.

I would like 10 more of these movies please. Make it a franchise. I can’t get enough.
