Poor Things
Way more weird and sexual than I thought. It gave me great joy that Bella was the one playing Duncan and that she was the one who didn’t want emotions involved. She’s a queen, tho that’s a lot more genitals than I wanted to see. I just would never watch this movie with anyone else lowkey. I understand why people find the baby brain weird but I also see why people call this a feminist movie or whatever. I just think people read to much into the baby brain when it’s obvi about someone experiencing life without having to deal with the normal prejudice that comes a long with it. I mean could they have found another way to portray that? Sure, but this isn’t real life and this would never happen and there’s no reason to take it that serious because that’s not what this movie is about. I really like the message. Obvi women without prejudice aren’t gonna go immediately having loads of sex, their obvi gonna do other things cause there’s a lot that women are judged for, but I don’t think it’s misogynistic to portray it this way and I don’t think she gained her power from having sex with men, that’s just something that happens along the way.
