Really awkward vibes
Thought it would be more crazy
Good ending
Maybe overhyped

not as bad as i thought
Watched before study leave
Timothee wasn’t as natural as gene wilder

Watched for English
Weirdly animated
Modern music

🌼Immaculate vibes🌼
Cool soundtrack
Russel was hot

Mild Christmas vibes
Dead poets society
Lazy eye

After rewatching on Christmas Eve:

I rated this 3.5 but now bumped it up to 4 and a like 👀

I loved the way it was shot and edited, seems like a move you would say they don’t make them like this anymore about

I looove unlikely friendships and cute relationships between random people so this was very cute

MEDITATIONS BY MARCUS AURELIUS

their handshake at the end was so nice, I wish I knew what happened to them

Crazy twist but not impulsive/didn’t carry the film
Basement man was so scary
Ramdom noodles looked really good

I don’t think I really understood it
Queen Emma Thompson
Very formal

Quite confusing
Good soundtrack
Lighting was a bit overdone

Very good sound
Weird green blue shots
Very long and still

Bob Marley deserved a better movie
Interesting but kinda bad…
Weird unexplained flashbacks

I don’t think I really understood it since so much was left for the viewer
Didn’t really make me cry
Watched after I was sad about Alice
Paul mescal ❤️

Had some thought provoking dialogue
Bit slow for me
Liked the in yun bit

Quite inappropriate

Born sexy yesterday trope makes me feel uncomfortable but I’m not sure if it bought into the trope or mocked it
I think it showed the absurdity of this trope especially through the way mark rufallos character was so whiny and weird

Very matrix and fifth element vibes
Kinda confusing
Futuristic
Colin farrel???

Taika nibbled
Not enough of a story for me
Some funny moments
Love jaiyah

The colour palette and jazz music combo made me feel like I was in coffee talk
I don’t think I’m smart enough to fully understand the characters
Maybe my expectations were too high

North Korea, dna swap, invisible car, ice house…. Just too many
Pretty laughable

Dead poets society for girlies
Sooo many famous actors in this
Julia roberts was maybe too modern?

Pretty much like Superbad but girl version
Some funny moments
Very American humour

Tiny gnome Stanley tucci
Only plot line was it being sad/dementia which isn’t really enough to be a whole movie

know when to stop…
Was trying to give kill bill silliness but lots of the jokes didn’t land for me
Some funny fight scenes
Japanese I need a hero hit hard though

So stressful
Audibly gasped at the end
Didn’t reeeaally understand what was going on half the time

Couple pretty racist L R jokes…
likes their natural connection, kinda gave before sunrise
Were they in love romantically? cuz the age gap was huge

Actually pretty funny
Rio Linda woman
Around 40 mins wayyy tooo long

Watched because of Debaser
Absurdist and didn’t know what was going on but I think that was the point
Some pretty cool effects considering it was almost a century ago

Although I hope not to be a broke dancer in Paris living on credit cards, I like the way this movie shows how that is ok too, and it can take longer to find our path. All media tells us that by 30 you should be maybe married with a child on the way, at least a steady wage. But sometimes things aren’t movie perfect.

Modern love and everyone’s a winner ❤️❤️
Nothing really happens just feel the vibes
Wish people my age still wore flares :(
Like parasite on drugs
Shows how power can fluctuate depending on who has the thing we want, usually money.

I don’t know if I’m just stupid but this movie made me feel like I’m autistic and everyone around me is crying but I don’t know why. I feel empathy but I just can’t understand. It makes me feel primitive and simple but also why am I crying?
Maybe you need to be going through a bit of a midlife crisis to really understand what’s going on.

Reese Wetherspoon did it again
Liked the timeline, wasn’t confusing but kept the story interesting
Tate ❤️❤️
Kinda racist and problematic
Just some fun
Flashlight scene made me want to die
That one YouTuber was the evil German singer
Thought the beginning and the middle was kinda weak
The ending was very good though, it had that spiritfarer outlook on death and I think that’s a beautiful thing
Love a good animated cityscape
I wouldn’t say Ethan hawke and Jude law look so similar….
Gasped at anton
90s sci-fi holy trinity: minority report, fifth element, and newly added gattaca
Eamon ❤️❤️
I love it when people squash toxic masculinity
Really good soundtrack and original songs
How does everyone have a near death experience after an hour in rain
Emma Thompson is so wise and owly
I love Richard Curtis
Thought it could’ve ended at the new year just kidding bit, but when the boats came and everyone got picked up it was pretty perfect
Need to go listen to the soundtrack now
Danny loves a shit shot
Loved the way it was cut to have the question and how he knew it

Justice for alma

Jake gylenhalls mouth is oh so wide
Maybe a bit slow and uneventful…

DISGUSTING squelchy sounds
I know it’s meant to be kinda funny on purpose but this was too silly

Literally mind blown, Christopher knows how to boggle my brain
My cocaine
David bowieeeeeee

Pretty racist
Not my cup of tea since I didn’t really understand the characters…
Maybe just because it’s old? But others love it so I’m not sure
Very aggressive but also tender and delicate
Disgusting
Thought the story could’ve been stronger but the cannibalism aspect was very unique

Ticked all the boxes, music was impactful, cinematography and editing was so cool and the acting was really good but it left me feeling weird
Tsunami 2004 Boxing Day music
Left me thinking about what makes a truly good movie and it’s difficult to say that something that isn’t a feel good movie is still good but I think this is it

Even thinking of movies that aren’t cheerful like fight club, the ending is still satisfying and nice and in lalaland the ending is sad, but you know it had to happen. There is nothing good about the ending of this movie.

Loved the speed ups and slow downs and super quick cuts specifically when she was eating her grapefruit and egg and it just cut to it being gone

this and simon Leigh have really ruined any prospect of taking drugs

Steve made me feel uncomfortable
People watchers
Glass of milk line was funny
Had some pretty boring cliches which I feel are only funny to parents (stinky puberty)
Some pretty good visuals like an anxiety attack being negative emotions flooding into your self belief
Not as good as the first one
Felt like fight clubs underdeveloped brother
Christian bale was really good though. Losing so much weight shows his dedication and his acting performance was also really scary
Too similar to FC to be good for me
I liked a lot of guy ritchies weird directorial quirks like still photos and weird angles and slowing down or speeding it up
Beginning was a bit confusing with all the characters being introduced but thought the ending was satisfying
Rhyming slang is pretty funny
Thought the concept was really cool and dedicated
Liked seeing the change in maturity but also made me wish I was older
Glad I’m not a boy who has to act like I’ve had sex before
Very Darren aronofsky but this came before which is crazy
Thought it captured unhealthy obsession (usually by creepy men) with young pop stars ( usually young women) which makes me very very uncomfortable
Felt pretty confused a lot of the time but I think that was intentional

From my understanding, she was one person but also two cuz she was the pop star and the management team
Also might have watched a version missing a little bit but oh well

Also felt a lot like the anime section in kill bill (but might be cuz it’s the only other anime I’ve ever seen)
What was Baz smoking when cooking up this hallucinatory, stomach churning, mind dizzying movie

Baz’s style is not quite my cup of tea but I admire his consistent craziness which I think works kinda well
A bit too crazy for me with too many song mashups and spinning frames and cuts
Some really cool shots though which showed that it was really well made
Just quite as bad as I thought it would be
The blooper reel and freeze frame really made it the cringey millennial ish movie that I so craved
I love black and white smoke
The music, montages, cool shots, dolly zoom and Vincent’s alien head makes the movie very visually cool

As for the story, I think it was a bit slow but realistic, and gave us a glimpse into French ghetto life. It’s all ok until we land is the moral of the movie, as tensions consistently rise until the final gunshot ends it all

Really liked this and thought it portrayed a sadly realistic story in a beautiful way
Felt shocked that this exists and so happy that my parents aren’t crazy
Love yasin ❤️❤️❤️
Nick caves music really hit the spot and matched the tense vibe

Humans are evil and judgement is cruel, but John merrick is happy and I should be too

I don’t think the movie was that good but the story is really impactful and makes you think about physical looks and how you judge them
John hurt being nominated for an Oscar is quite strange since you can barely see his face but I think his eyes and his soft, kind voice told the story well

Victorian things feel quite scary and combined with a miss peregrines home for peculiar children book picture type person, which is also really scary to me made me feel really uncomfortable
Loved the visuals, similar green and yellow colours to Amelie which I love but slightly more hazy and muted
Thought there were some parts that were so weirdly out of pocket that they were funny and whimsy
Unfortunately found it a bit boring by the end and felt kind of wanting a stronger plot or story the whole way through
I love something about a houseful of characters and their relationships (through the pipes)
Rock solid cast with really good acting
Great story that didn’t dawdle or make it kinda inappropriate by including a love storyline
Didn’t feel boring and repetitive like zodiac

Actually crazy how disgusting it is to molest a child in the first place, but then not even do anything about it but cover it up

End list was insane and made me feel sick
Kinda cute and nice but I didn’t think critics would think so
Her getting the money felt really forced and a bit silly but the whole thing is made up/not realism so maybe that’s fine
Maybe Paul king influences
This was by far the stupidest fucking movie I’ve ever seen….. kinda liked some parts tho
Benedict Cumberbatch with no eyebrows long hair and a little grin was the highlight
Just cameo after cameo

Had potential to be more interesting than it actually was I think. I liked the book club and the characters and (kind of predictable) twist of the baby being German but I thought the love story was a tacky and pointless
The lonely gin maker witchy apothecary woman is me

Lily James’s blinking acting was kind of annoying to look at but her new husband is hot

I saw a review that said this kind of feels like something that would go viral on Facebook in 2010 and I agree….
Portraying grief is hard and vulnerable but this felt forced and didn’t hit as hard as I think it should’ve for me
I love Olivia Coleman and I think she was good and mastered an Irish accent but the rest of this movie felt unrealistic while trying to portray a deep topic
I don’t understand why that boy could drive and was so wise about breastfeeding
I don’t know if some random boy could make me keep a baby if I hated it but I’ve never been in that position myself
Just pretty bad
Like a good intertwining plot, but this was cringey and full of witty millennial jokes
I did kind of like Anna Kendrick’s plot, thought that would make a cute movie
I liked Leon’s character design, I liked the unique relationship, I thought the acting was good by all three main characters (especially really impressive for Natalie Portman) and also the cinematography was cool.

I think I have a problem with sexualising Natalie Portman at such a young age and feeding into pervy fantasies that weird men have. However I also read someone’s review saying that it’s actually really sad that her character has never felt platonic fatherly love so she immediately thinks it’s sexual love because that’s all she’s seen her whole life and in movies.
Overall thought it was good but can’t overlook the oversexualisation
Seems like this could go on forever
The baby being just slightly evil but never leading to anything was kinda weird
Someone on this team really likes 80s pop

The dialogue in this movie was unbearable and seems like it was written by AI which was only trained on wattpad fancfics. It felt like the most predictable, cliché, insensitive story that wanted to become a feminist classic, but it just fell on its face and should be glad to take its place in line BEHIND Irish Wish.
There were moments when she was being abused that I obviously sympathised with her because it unfortunately does represent real women and people, however it deals with this real issue in such an insensitive way (especially since victims of domestic abuse could’ve been watching)
It seems like Colleen Hoover doesn’t care about victims of abuse but just wants to create an attractive character who is the ‘abusive bad boy’ who the main woman can’t help but love, and someone to run away to (also attractive) who understands her pain and is still in love with her after all these years. The abuse is only a way of making the original teenage lover seem more protective and strong and caring.
STOP ROMANTICISING ABUSE
Being a neurosurgeon with a 16 pack and claiming that a 27 hour long operation was the best day of your life was a laughable character, performed by the director.

I love a fisheye lens, red and green colour palette with some black and white with fun editing!
I love sonder and the concept of bumping into someone and that changing their life forever and being able to see into how their life will evolve because of that
The butterfly theory is really interesting and cool to me
I think the middle section got a bit repetitive but oh boy did she run and in docs too
Crying during cricket is so me
Lucy liu was a lot cooler when she was a yakuza boss and not an annoying manic pixie dream girl who is just so whimsical and quirky
Pretty bad
Everyone talking about how they hate briony which is true but also she was just a child and I think they could’ve talked to her after she caught them in the library
Dying just hours before getting home is SO SAD
Very cute
I love something about a professional kitchen like ratatouille or the bear
No way that garlic spaghetti was moan worthy

The messy camerawork was divine
The storyline and telling was superb and messy and interesting
The ending was insane it was real the whole time??!?
I feel kind of sick that 8yr old children are shooting snorting smoking raping and killing somewhere in Brazil but by god was the editing nice
Justice for benny
Willem Dafoe turns into Willem dafriend cuz he is a little angel in this movie. When he lets the kids play hide and seek in his office ☺️
It was crazy when we found out why she was always in the bath with loud rap music
I think Halley was just trying to do the best for her child and they had a great connection but she ultimately endangered her
Watching this and city of god back to back both makes me feel awful and returns my faith in child actors
Wasn’t as sad as I thought but I also didn’t really get the ending. It either shows how they imagined a fun situation to get away from the pain or they were in heaven after getting hit by a car
I don’t think this was the point of the movie but I just want to be 20 ish living in a flat with my friends and my lover Ethan hawke and dancing and filming each other.
The lost in your twenties universe is so big but honestly anything feels better than being 15 and not being able to do anything.
Also Winona Ryder is so beautiful I want to be her in this movie
Everyone saying how they kinda hate ethan hawke in this and I get how he’s pretty pretentious and annoying but I think he’s just always very cool and no strings attached and now can’t escape from that role.
Didn’t really hit the spot for me
Watched it for Maggie and she didn’t disappoint
Really weird
I like the message of never being too weird to find someone you connect with
The whole I’m a punk rocker thing was kinda cringey
This movie was very simple and real and authentic and I loved the spirit farmer vibes it had.
I think it was a bit slow at some parts but I loved how real all the characters and stories felt, all the memories were so profound and there is no way to watch this without taking a look at your own life and trying to remember when you were happiest.

I love the idea of feeling fulfilled and happy at the point in your life when you realised you made someone else happy. Really beautiful
Was expecting it to be kinda laughable now that it’s over 50 years old but it was actually kinda scary and I didn’t find myself looking at the time or thinking about what one gonna do after.
I think the beginning in northern Iraq was kind of unnecessary and long and some of the cuts were kind of weird but overall good Halloween movie even three days late
Fuck you harvey Weinstein
Investigative journalist is probably my dream job so I immediately was interested in this but I think when a masterpiece like spotlight exists this falls kind of short
Not bad though
Watched on my birthday 🎊
I loved the weird absurd vibes this movie had with a Rocky/kill bill training montage learning to make ramen and finally getting it in the end
The little side stories felt strange and out of place but not wrong and i was always invested to see what happened with these new characters, gave the story a refreshing element of sonder which I love. I think it was meant to show how we are all deeply connected with food, we flirt with it, we die with it, we have sex with it and for some it’s their life. The egg scene was kind of gross at first but after further research I think it’s a metaphor egg yolk bursting like an orgasm. Americans could never recreate this movie. Ramen western for the win. Doesn’t take itself too seriously
Cringey, bad, full of predictable cliches, tried being heartfelt but it was just boring.
I hate the way they make every Hispanic woman character talking Spanish and being Hispanic their whole character and always shouting and stuff.
It’s also not even original it’s just a stupid American remake
Unrealistic the way everyone kept talking to him and being aggressively nice
Seemed like kind of a visual movie than a real emotion movie
I love Paul mescal and that Roman nose of his but I think I prefer him in more indie heartfelt movies and shows
Can’t believe they spent so much money basically making the same movie
Really thought this was gonna hit the spot for me like sing street or full Monty but it was kind of boring, not much storyline and too much singing.
Love a little twist
Definitely could tell that he also mad fight club there were a lot of similarities but I still don’t think this beats it
The paranoid torture he and I went through is crazy and I would kill Vera if she did something like that
But maybe if all the billionaires needed to go through this the world would be a better place
Sadly it doesn’t live up to the original, the music was no where near lin manuel Miranda level and some pretty cringey dialogue
I guess it’s cool how there’s a theory about whether moana died and became a demigod and that scene was well made in my opinion
I thought her ancestors came back too often to the point where it wasn’t that special like in the first movie when her grandma comes back to help her and it’s quite emotional.
I really didn’t like the big sis little sis thing I think it’s very cringey and they probably just didn’t know how to introduce this random sister character so kids would understand who she was
Not Christmassy enough
Kind of made no sense like why was the mum glowing and why was her dog evil??
I hope Lindsay does this every year now
But also I think it was a mistake to make Logan so unlikable at the beginning
And why would Logan stay with Cassie when he clearly hates her
This was so bad
iMovie quality
She had like Nat 5 business talking about how much she loves stocks and her thesis on how to improve efficiency lol
I looooove the set design very surreal and gothic and angular
Cesare was pretty spooky especially when he steals the girl
I think it was good inspiration for my surrealism project but maybe not such a good movie, it wasn’t too enjoyable but more interesting
Very otherside vibes
Like a mix of Theater and art and cinema and painting and music all in one
Probably one of the more beautiful movies I’ve seen
I also looooove the slowed down shots with the violin that was scrumptious
Yeah the plot was a bit slow and the end was kind of confusing, I still really like the simplicity of two peoples connections
Her dresses were so fucking cool
One of the most fucked up movies I’ve ever seen I never want to watch it again
I fucking hate the coach so much and anyone who would do that to KIDS
The rape scene was actually too graphic and real to the point where I actually had to look away
I think this is sort of like requiem for a dream where it’s so bad and disgusting and a feel bad film but since it evokes so much emotion out of me I think that’s what makes it good and that’s what a good movie should do, it doesn’t always need to have a good ending.
Maybe not the best Christmas movie
Joseph Gordon levitt did a really good job and his haircut was cool
Watched because of the holdovers but this was nowhere near as good
I think Paul giamatti was very good but other than that the plot was kind of boring
I wish I looked like sandra oh with her arm cuff
Some funny jokes
The whole wine thing is kind of snobbish
I had very high hopes for this and maybe that’s what ruined it for me I thought it was gonna be like Amelie and before sunrise and French girlie but I think it was just too artsy fartsy for me
So much of the dialogue just felt very unnatural and dumb to me but maybe I’m just not smart enough
I still really like the idea of three movies that all kind of interlink in a way and all have different pops of colour in all of them
