Hilda Hurricane
You are my destiny
It's funny to think that without TikTok edits I wouldn't have come across this.
Watching this I fell in love with Ana Paula Arósio and Rodrigo Santoro. Hilda and Malthus had so much chemistry because of their amazing acting. Forbidden love & enemies to lovers works literally every time, and makes the story more loveable. Hilda Furacão has a variety of characters, which keeps the story alive. Without Dindin, Thin Waist and Leonor it wouldn't be the same.
I’m taking half a star away because some topics, like Brazilian politics in the 1950s were hard for me to understand, and I really just wished the show would've focused even more on the love stories.
Also the ending felt rushed, the story jumped four years ahead, and then the outcome for each character was revealed.
Even though I hoped that Hilda and Malthus would've spent those four years together, I found their ending beautiful, emotional and meaningful, (he found her shoe once again).
One thing I'll never understand is how some people keep defending Aramel just because he's attractive. Not a lot of people cared that he was a sex trafficer and that he hit Gabriela. But when Gabriela left him for wealth it was "different" somehow. I get that she betrayed him, but Aramel did horrible things too.
Lastly I would like to thank Jabu translations. I found a link from Reddit to Hilda Furacão episodes, and without their translations I wouldn't have been able to watch this show. Everyone was so supportive in Jabu's comments, thanking them, and I wanted to do the same. So thank you so much for your hard work.
