oh i’m not hungry… honestly, i didn’t expect anything from the movie at all. i thought it would just be another ghost film(which it kinda was), nothing more. since i assumed it was purely supernatural, the plot twist never crossed my mind. it kinda gave “incident in a ghostland” vibes. and lately i’ve been binge-watching true crime documentaries and thinking that stuff like this actually happened or is still happening is really sad. it honestly took me like 15 minutes to process everything. sam being jane’s kid, the pills and everything else i’ve seen a lot of negative reviews saying that the plot twist at the end, where some characters turn out to be “ghosts”, is overused. but personally, i think it worked really well here. they weren’t actually ghosts, but rather a coping mechanism of someone dealing with a traumatic experience. in this movie it felt very fitting.
