Such an incredible 3 hour experience.
Every shot is beautiful and haunting. The filter that Tarkovsky put on the opening scenes outside the zone was a perfect signifier for how the protagonist considered the two worlds; one full of decay and the other full of life and color.
Every piece of dialogue revealed something about the characters; I had to rewind multiple times to fully comprehend the depth. God knows I only understood a fraction of this movie’s themes.
