i don’t know how to explain it, but this made me feel the same way i did while watching Nana.  Before watching, i saw so many people saying it was boring or pretentious but there wasn’t a single moment throughout this film that i felt bored. I think it could be perceived as boring because of its slow pace but it’s meant to be a story about life. Specifically, the trauma teenagers experience that shape them into who they are. Everything that happens is building up to the ending which isn’t exactly a conclusion of all of the problems and for that reason it’s bittersweet in a way as well as realistic. The aesthetic of this film is amazing too. The visuals felt like a collection of memories or dreams and the color palette matched this so well. also the soundtrack. The mix of classical music and pop music is so interesting but works so well for this movie. I think the whole theme of the internet is so ahead of its time as well. Definitely one of my new favourites but i’m not sure if this is the kind of movie you re watch.
