Parasite

Very solid movie. Didn’t expect this at all. I think it was so well put together, and the themes were incredible. I like the way it critiques and challenges that systematic inequality.   You see the lower class vs upper class dynamic and how that difference becomes a parasite so much so that people lose their basic consciousness and cross limits they’d never imagine.  You see the upper class not being able to function without the lower class, but still holding that entitlement over them. And you see the lower class willing to do anything to fit in and be like them.  I love how it’s a movie you can enjoy on surface level, but also expresses a social problem and has much more depth to it for people wanting those extra layers. The fact that there are multiple genres in this film is actually quite surprising, that’s not easy to pull off. The acting was fantastic and I really see why people loved this movie. The direction was out of this world and so was the camera work. South Korean movies really do got it like that I think I’ll enjoy this movie even more on a rewatch someday.
