Trainspotting

Wholesome family viewing for a lovely sunny Valentines Day :) Finally managed to watch this. Nearly watched it when I was like, 14, but I was lazy. I probably would've got into film back then if I did. I love how it captures the cultural zeitgeist of mid-90s Britain so effortlessly- the soundtrack consisting of songs my parents play relentlessly, and the 'Choose Life' monologue something they'd always referenced growing up. I realised watching it that I'd already seen about 40% of the scenes through cultural osmosis. Amazing film. Could watch endlessly.
