Oh Shit. Brilliant, Brilliant, Brilliant. I can surely say that this film is the magnum opus of Pak Cinema. I was waiting to see this film for a long time because of hona tha pyar and was not expecting something the film turned out to be. What a grand, beautiful, ugly, tragic, dense and thought provoking film; and all of these words are soo less to describe the magnitude of the film. I am still in awe of the sheer quality of the film. There is soo much to say about this and soo less words to explain it. Shoaib Mansoor is actually the goat of Pak Cinema, the way he bluntly and confidently mocked honour, pride, the patriarchy of this society and the extremism of religion is just admirable, the way my man openly explained about how trans, prostitutions, shia/sunni conflict works in Pakistan is crazy. I wanted to talk within the film but it will spoil the film for you reading this. I loved the screenplay, direction, cinematography, dialogues, acting, pacing, music, literally all of it.
The protagonist of the film is actually the greatest character I’ve seen on screen.
All of the words that I’ve written for the film is so much undeserving for the film and it doesn’t do any justice to it. Every family in Pakistan should see this film together.
A true masterpiece by all means.
those scream are still echoing in my ears.
