Serial Experiments Lain

I promise you guys this makes sense, you just have to believe me! 🙏😭  No but really, I take this as a largely metaphorical show about the symptoms of modern, internet saturated society. Things like online predators, online collectivism, isolation, and all kinds of different topics relating to the psychological. This show really seems to cover it all. Only it’s told in a super moody, atmospheric, mysterious kind of way which a strongly resonated with. Is it confusing at times? Yeah, but I don’t think it’s necessary a show that’s meant to be taken literally. Even if some stuff here is still left somewhat vague, there’s just so much here that I really resonated with on such a deep artistic and emotional level that it really didn’t hinder the experience at all. It’s just a great show.
