Train Dreams

‘Beautiful ain’t it? All of it. Every bit of it.’  i watched this last night but wanted to sit with it before logging it and i am glad i did because all throughout today, i kept thinking about robert but also about the passing of time in my own life.  i always resonate with movies about the human experience, and this quiet but powerful gem of a movie following one person’s whole life touched me intrinsically. i saw someone review this and say, ‘time gives life meaning’ and thinking about that phrase while replaying the montage of all the gentle moments of robert’s life in my head makes me reflect on my own life and how it’s slowly passing by with all these moments that i am experiencing. his loneliness and this feeling of what is life really about is something i can relate to a little too much and its both deeply heart-breaking and beautiful.
