Gladiator II

First movie I genuinely jotted down notes (loosely) throughout. Here are my raw notes: - Intro credits - paint, from 1st movie; favorite catch-up I've seen - The River Styx scene grabbed me - Recreation of Rome's glory, as well as the Colosseum naval battle (sharks) done fantastically - Monkey ^ Troop of angry monkeys - Denzel absolutely loving this role and all those rings ^ Had a field day when they gave him his costume closet ^ Love to see him starting shit, conniving and things of this nature - Who can hate a Storm The Castle (or two) plot Takeaways. - "The disease that affects his loins has spread to his brain." - Strength & Honor... Power - I would die first but my brother would be the one to go to the loony bin from an STD and die by ear lobotomy alongside his pet monkey When I step down and appoint Rylee as emperor, I know he will live out Marcus Aurelius' dream of Rome.
