In my head, they won't die in their new universe. They will forever watch over the stars and listen to nightingales until the end of time. (That anecdote was the push for me to cry)
This is in a form the ending I have waited for 7 years now. I literally learned english through this series and it got an ending in which they finally ended up together, something everyone has been waiting for
