Hamnet

a beautiful tale about grief and how we move on from it Hamnet made me feel A LOT of things. whether that be from the hypnotizingly beautiful camera angles and framing, or the brilliant use of color and set design to tell a story, or the DEVASTATING realistic performances from everyone here (even the child actors holy shit!!), or the FINAL SCENE OF THE MOVIE MY GOD I COULD SPEAK ON THIS FOR HOURS. whatever it may have been, it was an unbelievable experience. as one who is rarely for Shakespearean stories or old English tales, Hamnet broke those previous ideas, showing how human it all really is behind the scenes. it’s captivating, it’s depressing, and yet, hopeful.
