Sentimental Value
I told myself not to pick a depressing movie again, but I couldn’t resist Sentimental Value. The first part may have seemed slow, but as the film unfolded, I began to feel all the emotions Joachim Trier poured into his work. The lingering loneliness of an eldest daughter was perfectly portrayed by Renate Reinsve. I might be picking up The Worst Person In The World after this. When I learned that all four of the main stars were nominated for the Oscars, it felt completely well-deserved! Everyone embodied their emotions so convincingly. Caught me off guard when Gustav gave Erik The Piano Teacher dvd as a birthday present.. like thats Grandpa!
