First Cow

How special! I think I’m starting to understand how aspect ratios are relevant to the story because of this masterpiece. Never seen a movie in 4:3 before but this definitely made it seem like watching it was peeking into a framed slice of history. And those colours… woah. Kelly Reichardt knows forests like no one before.  I don’t want to talk about the story it will make me sad :( I loved it. I loved how cookie spoke to the cow. So gentle. This movie is so heartwarming.
