Persepolis

Two friends who I see as brothers to me are immigrants from Iran. The younger once told me that he never expected me to understand what he was going through. Even though I still cannot possibly fully grasp what they had went through and are actively experiencing, the comic and this film gave me an insight of the emotional weight the current state of Iran has on a person. As a person who has always been fascinated by Iranian history and culture, this was an incredible watch. Not only the story and emotion but the artistry of this film was exquisite. I am practically in love with this film.
