At Night

between this and just like weather I might be too stupid for semi-documentary social realism. i really liked the performances and the q&a with the director was really interesting and helped add some things to it for me (an idea that will stick with me is “the odyssey but plural”) but i need a bit more of a narrative hook because im stupid and i thought the conversations — which was apparently based on real conversations the actors had with the director — teetered between really authentic/interesting and kind of didactic and blandly direct. enjoyed the general liminality of it but it didnt stick for me!
