The Thing

Wasn’t sure I was gonna love this as much as everyone else seems to, but goddamn if this isn’t a perfect movie. It’s perhaps one of the most intelligent horror movies I’ve ever seen, not only in regards to the super compelling concept, but in terms of the super powered, super intelligent villain as well as the intelligence of the characters. The blood testing scene had me on the edge of my seat, one of the tensest scenes in horror history. Not to mention the incredibly awesome looking practical effects that I absolutely adore from this era of cinema. What a blast start to finish.
