Dark Waters

this is why i love cinema it quietly rearranges your understanding of the world. it turns environmental destruction, class exploitation corporate corruption and greed into something deeply suffocating and existential. the suffocating feeling of realizing that entire communities can be sacrificed in the name of profit and they don’t bat an eye. capitalism just woven into daily lives in the way that it seems normal- with food, water. the system doesn’t just collapse under greed, it thrives on it, how profit matters more than human lives. this is why i love cinema. it gives you a moral awakening. mark ruffalo keys to the city and i love you sm
