*This review may contain spoilers.* *i want to make this world a little better…* i always say that great art is not supposed to entertain us or be pleasing. it’s duty is to put light on things in ourselves that we don’t often think of, make us reconsider our beliefs. *dogville *is certainly this film. i consider myself a pacifist, but this film made me think- where is this line of being good? is it even possible to be a pacifist when everyone is against you? and i have come to an answer - it is only possible in a perfect world without any evil. in conclusion - i would certainly do the same thing she done.
