Apocalypse Now

Coppola uses a continuous three part cycle throught his film- the heavenly and dreamy morning with golden sunshine, the dull evening and the nightmarish night. this cycle continues till the end of the film as we, along with the characters descend into darkness. The main thing i love abut this film is how it just feels so surreal at times despite being a war film, making me think that maybe after all, war feels just like this. The entire film just feels like your worst nightmare and its just keeps getting worse with every day, even in the dreamy mornings, there is just pain everywhere. This film does suspense like no other, cinematography lile no other and shows what really goes down in war. Definitely now my favoirite Coppola film.
