Joi when she was disconnected from the home system and had only one life. K by going on this mission, believing he was real, and becoming Joe along the way. In the end K realised that defying anything wasn’t the point—it was understanding what you can already do. Villeneuve’s brilliant storytelling skills and his use of colour never fail to amaze me. And by now, I’m convinced that Hans Zimmer has the Midas touch—everything he touches turns to gold. The score throughout the film couldn’t have been better. I watched this film with my mom, and as she complimented K’s jacket, she was like ‘Do you think that’s his comfort jacket, or does he just reuse his stuff because he’s practical’. Even though there isn’t a definite answer for that, we decided to go with the first option.
