If I had to choose between speaking and dying, I'd choose to rewatch this film—feels more like listening and living. Someone genuinely needs to rip this masterpiece and its entire soundtrack away from me.

1. Loved the "Surrender" needle drop!! 2. Could feel the cringe oozing out of the screen when Timmy said: "I'm hooked."

this film is already a fever dream as is—watching it at the ripe hour of 12 o’clock in the morning with friends is just horror. Just a bunch of bs on screen 😭.

I am Jo, and Jo is me. But... deep down, there's the ever slightest bit of Laurie in my soul...and I think that's what made this such a hard watch. It felt like I was witnessing two parts of me fight, because being torn between yes and no, myself and another, or choosing to love at all are just the trivial things you either think too much about, or not at all. So yes, I will be that party pooper and say that even though everyone got their "happy ending," I'm still stuck on Beth, and my belief that Jorie was supposed to be endgame (yes, there, I know I'm closed-minded but I said it anyways—I'm sorry, Amy, but your character was also so fantastic and beautifully tragic in its special ways). I really gotta stop watching these films where Timothée always chooses to speak, then dies. Elio, elio, elio... I remember everything.
