Loki
Glorious purpose!**Season Two:
**
It is genuinely crazy how much an actual good production can clean a very bad taste of mouth after several poor to bad productions. My faith in the Marvel Cinematic Universe HAS NOT been restored, there’s still much to work on, but Loki: Season Two is on the right path and I hope they learn from this show.
This second season reminded me of the first batch of MCU Disney+ Originals where - even with their fair share of flaws - you can see a clear beginning, middle and end. Although I do feel like this is their only show that knows how shows work.
From beginning to end this season gets better and better. Starting off right after where the first season ended, the show’s stakes get bigger and bigger… yet more intimate and character centric rather than overall franchise based. I love how intimate the story is for all the characters.
Visually the show fell down a bit from the flare of the first season, but it’s still miles better than so many of the 40+ productions of this franchise.
Everyone in the cast does a brilliant job, every performance is deep and incredibly touching. From Owen Wilson’s “Mobius” to Wunmi Mosaku’s “B-15”. Even if characters don’t have much screen time, they have scenes to shine and stay with the audience.
An overall 10/10 experience. What a beautifully poetic ended to one of the greatest Marvel Studios characters of all time.
